The National Safety Council is the expert in workplace first aid and CPR training. Guidelines detailing how rescuers should perform vital first aid and basic life support techniques are updated periodically based on medical research, and NSC is an active participant in this process. NSC training exceeds this standard, as well as the latest CPR and first aid guidelines, and can be customized to meet the specific needs of your industry. In this course, you’ll learn to recognize a medical emergency; handle breathing and cardiac emergencies; act appropriately and effectively to sustain life until professional help arrives; prevent disease transmission; and identify and care for bleeding, sudden illness and injuries. After passing a skills test, you’ll receive a nationally recognized NSC Standard First Aid and Adult CPR/AED certification valid for two years.
