Applied Ethics for Health, Safety and Environmental Professionals (NEW)
Approved 1

This seminar covers how professional codes of ethics can be used in identifying, analyzing, navigating and resolving ethical dilemmas encountered by health, safety and environmental professionals. Ethics can be identified as the standards of conduct and moral values governing actions and decisions in the work environment. The HSE professional’s role answers to many stakeholders. During this course, you’ll explore ethical dilemmas and discuss potential options and actions. As a faithful agent to the employer, HSE professional practice should be true to the employee and strive to promote a safe working environment. However, they also must be true to self – even if that truthfulness may threaten corporate profits in the short run. In the long run, it’s only through truth and the promotion of ethical practices that one can minimize harm and maximize benefits to all stakeholders.
