The Challenge of Safety Metrics

How do the limitations of current safety metrics – such as data-collection practices, interpretation and use; as well as the pursuit of zero-injury goals – impact their effectiveness in preventing workplace accidents? Using a study sample of leading EHS professionals and experts in safety metrics, we’ll discuss the results of a published white paper investigating these limitations and propose practical solutions for implementing, interpreting, and improving the overall effectiveness of leading and lagging safety metrics.
