Safety Contacts: Caught Doing Something Right

Ten years after its initial release, this popular presentation has been revisited to explore the changes in workplaces since the COVID-19 pandemic and the hybrid work model. It details an ongoing safety management concept called “Safety Contacts.” A Safety Contact is a behavior-reinforcing conversation between employees. It’s a process that regularly and positively recognizes employees for the safe behaviors they exhibit. Designed from the ground up, the Safety Contact model is personal, one-on-one, behavior-encouraging, behavior-improving and, most importantly, behavior-reinforcing.
